Hiking to this destination was an adventure and it absolutely was worth it. The graffiti and the broken pavement makes this hillside look like a post apocalyptic wasteland of beauty. The couple pictured are watching the end of a beautiful sunset and perhaps about to start the adventure of their lives together.

This was the last trip I ever had with my dad before he passed away. Trips with my dad were always an adventure, spending our days exploring the places we visit. I know he would want me to keep taking photos. He even offered to buy me a nice camera and fund everything to keep me going despite his financial situation. (He was a very harsh critic and never was afraid to tell people his opinions, so if he thought something was good, he really did). We never got around to that. I will try my best to continue making my dad proud.
It’s funny, both of my parents were professional photographers for a very long time and into my early childhood, but I wasn't into photography. I only started taking photographs on this trip just because I oddly felt like it. I take my new found hobby as my dad’s final gift to me, he passed it on to me in our last time together. He said I shot better than him and I had something. I’ll take his word for it. I miss you dad, I think about you every time I look at this photo.
This photo was in Half Moon Bay during said trip, this was a last minute photo I decided to take where I had to shield my lens out of frame from the glare, this resulted in the very nice, bright, high exposure that helped black out the silhouettes. There is no post processing in this image.

Kauai is the epitome of adventure. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and ocean making it impossible to be bored. The beach and ocean oozes with adventure. There is so much unknown in the ocean making it nearly impossible to not be intrigued by it. The ocean bestows lots of adventure waiting to happen.

I took this photo while walking at the beach, on the pier with my family. The waves were crashing, the sun was setting, and the sky was beautiful. I thought about how grateful I am to live so close to one of the most beautiful places in California. Every time I go to the beach it feels like an adventure. Hearing the waves crash and the smell of the salty air, with the vibrant red and orange colors as the sun is setting, are mesmerizing. I always make amazing memories, and photography allows me to capture those moments and look back at them.

However, in truth, we were going around an art museum of some sort but I still thought that the stories meticulously carved into these buildings made my mouth agape in awe. It felt like all of Greek's ancient history was just presented to us as we walked around--quite the adventure for a tourist spot.

We’ve all seen trains before. It’s mostly known for its speedy transportation. What else is there to it, other than the crowded and busy atmosphere? When I think of a train, I think of adventure. When I look out the window, I can see different places passing by, like scenes in a movie. The birds flapping their wings in the sky, the people walking around on the streets, and cars driving past. It's all happening so fast just outside of the train. Inside the train, it might be overflowing with passengers, but it doesn’t stop anyone from getting to their destination. Every stop feels like a new chapter in a novel, full of new things and exciting places. Riding a train is a journey. It's not just about getting from one place to another; it's about the thrill of exploring and discovering new things. That’s what an adventure is.

Now the soul has moved on from the little ideas and tiny adventures and has moved on to bigger adventures leaving what was in the past to decay. The soul has grown into a butterfly and can fly free.

This picture was taken in Death Valley at the "Race Track." This is a place where magical things happen. Rocks move on their own! These rocks fell from the mountains seen in the background. When it got to the bottom of the hill it landed on the playa. A Playa is a flat dried up lake bed. This lake is three miles long and there is only two inches in elevation difference. When conditions are right this dry playa will turn into a slippery surface. If everything goes right the wind will rip through at 90 miles per hour and the rocks will slide across the clay surface leaving a trail behind. Once the playa dries the rock's adventures are forever imprinted in the mud.
Upon arriving in Death Valley we were told about the "Race Track" and knew we wanted to see it. We loaded up in our '99 Suburban, sandwiches, snacks, and cameras and hit the road. I was shoved in the car with all 5 of my siblings for THREE hours, two of which were on a VERY bumpy dirt road. After a million "Are we there yets?" We finally arrived. It was amazing - totally worth all the achy bones and car sickness. WE even played "Marco Polo" on land - the playa was so flat there was no danger of crashing into anything. Even though I was tired and grumpy I had learned that life is an adventure - it doesn't have to be site seeing and climbing Mount Everest. Spending time with your family is the best adventure you can get.
Once we finally found the moving rocks, it dawned on me that each of us had had an exciting adventure of their own. Life is sometimes like that, adventures come in unexpected ways and these kinds of adventures make us grow closer together as a family!

When I took this photo, I was on an adventure with my family exploring the city of New York. My Grandmother came to America on a ship from Italy when she was 13 with her family to start a new life here. They first stopped at Ellis Island when they arrived in America and saw the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty represents American Freedom and, in a way, the adventure many people experience when they arrive in New York on vacation or to start a new life in America.
