This photo was taken in my backyard. Me, my family, and my dogs were playing together in our backyard as my brother swam after dinner. This was a core family moment. We all gathered around my dog to pet him, and after trying multiple spots, we finally found the spot. After that, we do the same thing almost every night, and every night I see the excitement in my dog's eyes, knowing that its his time. This photo relates to the theme, "Joy", by capturing a very rare moment as my dog smiles from ear to ear in Joy and satisfaction. All day he waits for his time. Looping around our legs, creeping up to us next to our beds, sitting there patiently while we swim. Under the table as we eat dinner. When we all sit down with our full stomachs, he knows it’s his time. When we cuddle him and pet him, the itch wasn’t the spot that we were scratching, but the excitement to experience joy with his family. If I had anything else to tell the judges, I would want them to get to know who my dog is. His personality lights up every room he walks into and puts smiles on everybody's face.
